Vivere il mio tempo

Dicembre significa spesso negozi affollati di persone alla ricerca di regali dell'ultimo minuto, ma i negozi non sono tutti uguali. Basta saper scegliere e si riesce a sfuggire alla frenesia collettiva, e a ritagliarsi il proprio angolo di paradiso. Ho indossato il mio cappotto più caldo e la mia borsa casual shopper firmata Linda Damiani che si abbina perfettamente al mio look, e sono tornata in Oltrarno, un quartiere di Firenze che riesce a mantenere un carattere autentico. Ho mangiato della schiacciata buonissima da S.Forno, un negozio di pane che potrebbe tranquillamente essere in una qualche strada parigina. Firenze ha un lato segreto composto dai suoi giardini privati, aperti una volta l'anno per occasioni speciali, oppure i suoi cortili che si possono intravedere da un portone rimasto socchiuso. Firenze non è solo famosa per i negozi d'alta moda, ma ha alcune boutiques vintage che non hanno niente da invidiare alle loro “sorelle maggiori”. Una in particolare è nel mio cuore: Boutique Nadine. Dopo gli acquisti sono andata alla Ditta Artigianale che in un ambiente ricercato e informale al contempo ho potuto apprezzare un caffè davvero ottimo, scelto tra un'ampia selezione. Io credo che anche in questo periodo dell'anno così frenetico non si debba rinunciare a coccolarsi e a volersi bene.

Living my time

In December, you will often find yourself in crowded shops, with people looking for a last minute present, but not all shops look the same. If you choose wisely, you will find some shops where calm still reigns. I wore my warmest coat and my casual shopper bag by Linda Damiani which goes perfectly along with my look and I went back to Oltrarno, a district of Florence that has been able to keep his authentic soul. I stopped by S.Forno where I ate a tasteful schiacciata (a white flatbread pizza), you could easily imagine how S.Forno bakery would naturally fit in a Parisian street. Florence has its secret side, made up of secret gardens, open once a year for special occasions, or its courtyards, which sometimes can be seen through the gates left ajar. Florence is not only famous for its haute couture boutique, but also for its vintage boutiques, which play in the same league. My favorite one is Boutique Nadine. After doing some shopping, I went to Ditta Artigianale, an elegant and refined café which welcomes its client in an informal environment. There, I sipped an excellent coffee, which I could choose among a wide selection. I think that in this frenzied time of year one cannot give up on the small pleasures of life, never forget to love and nurture yourself!

S.Forno

Nuovo arrivo a Santo Spirito. Da poche settimane nel quartiere fiorentino ha aperto S. Forno - o meglio, ha riaperto: lo storico panificio del rione (150 anni di attività) che è stato preso in gestione dai soci del Santo Bevitore, l'enoteca-gastronomia che sorge poco distante.A S. Forno è rimasto lo stesso fornaio, Angelo, da oltre 40 anni. A cambiare sono stati aspetto e formula: lo stile è sobriamente shabby chic, a metà tra una vecchia bottega e una boulangerie francese. Molti i prodotti in vendita - succhi di frutta, pasta, conserve - e soprattutto straordinaria la selezione di pane con impasti, lievitazioni e formati diversi.

A new bakery in Santo Spirito. A few weeks ago, a new bakery opened in the district, or better, re-opened: S.Forno, the historical bakery of the district, has been open for 150 years and now it has been taken over by the associates of "Il Santo Bevitore", a gastronomic restaurant close by. S. Forno has had the same baker, Angelo, for over 40 years. And he is still there, what has changed is the interior design and the format: now it is a shabby-chic shop, something between an old shop and a French boulangerie. Many products are sold here: fruit juices, pastries, jams, and a wide selection of bread, made with different ingredients and doughs, and with different techniques.

Cortili fiorentini

Cortili rinascimentali, giardini all’italiana, palazzi sontuosi costituiscono una testimonianza eccezionale della storia architettonica di Firenze.L'elegante cortile del palazzo Antinori presenta un porticato su tre lati, in pieno stile rinascimentale. Interessante è il grazioso pozzo, indispensabile per l'approvvigionamento "privato" di acqua dei residenti del palazzo.lIl cortile interno del sontuoso palazzo del Pugliese è molto vasto e tutto il perimetro del cortile è decorato da busti e statue, sistemate verso la metà del XIX secolo. Troviamo un notevole studio sull'armonia e la varietà decorativa nel cortile del palazzo Medici Riccardi, impostato in modo da suggerire un effetto di simmetria che di fatto non esiste. La decorazione, nel complesso, è tratta dal repertorio classico e composta con fantasia e secondo un gusto per la contaminazione.

The elegant courtyard of Palazzo Antinori has a portico on three sides, in full Renaissance style. The elegant well is remarkable, indispensable for the "private" water supply of the inhabitants of the Palazzo. The internal courtyard of the sumptuous Palazzo del Pugliese is very large and its entire perimeter is decorated with busts and statues, arranged there in the mid-nineteenth century. In the courtyard of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, we find a remarkable study on harmony and the decorative variety, set up in such a way as to suggest an effect of symmetry that actually does not exist. Vecchi bauli, abiti in seta, scatole di latta, collezioni di giovani designer, oggetti per la casa, cosmetici per la cura del corpo, accessori vintage accuratamente selezionati, tavoli, seggiole e panchetti.Mentre nel cuore del quartiere più vivo e pulsante di Firenze, Sanfrediano, nasce “Il Cortile”. Uno scrigno di raffinatezze: abiti, indumenti intimi, costumi, scarpe ed accessori non omologati, frutto di una accurata e continua ricerca, pensati per coccolare e valorizzare l'universo femminile.

Il nome Ditta Artigianale non è nuovo ai fiorentini amanti del caffè. Per chi oggi guarda alla cultura del caffè da una prospettiva Slow, Ditta Artigianale costituisce un riferimento obbligato. Propone una carta dei caffè “specialty”, scelti da piccoli produttori in giro per il mondo, tostati e serviti freschi.Altro punto di forza è il Gin Bar, con una selezione di oltre 150 etichette provenienti da tutto il mondo.Al caffè si aggiunge però una cucina “vera” da ristorante. Ogni giorno a pranzo e a cena sul menu ci saranno cinque primi, cinque secondi e quattro dolci.

The name Ditta Artigianale is certainly well known by all coffee lovers in Florence. Those who look at the culture of coffee from a Slow Movement perspective see now Ditta Artigianale as a reference. It offers a menu of "specialty" coffees, chosen by small producers around the world, toasted just before being served. Another strong point is the Gin Bar, with a selection of over 150 labels from all over the world, and there is a "proper" restaurant too. Everyday for lunch, on the menu there will be five first dishes, five second dishes and four desserts.
